WHAT IS MVOC:  MVOC is a diverse ensemble of musicians from all genres, creating an orchestra that's more inclusive and fun for everyone. We unite music enthusiasts for unique orchestral experiences, breaking away from the traditional image of a formal, high-cost classical orchestra. Instead, we blend string, brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments with unconventional additions like ukuleles, banjos, fiddles, electric and acoustic guitars, and even didgeridoos—playing a wide variety of music together. Our goal is to make orchestral music more accessible, engaging, and exciting for all.
 

MISSION:  The MVOC is a dynamic community-based initiative whose mission is to bring together musicians of all ages and skill levels in Riverside County’s 3rd District. Our program aims to foster a deep appreciation for live instrumental music, promote cultural enrichment, develop a mentorship program between seasoned professionals and those just getting started, and build strong community connections through the power of collaborative performance.
